Food is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. I LOVE sashimi and I hate how difficult it is to find good tasteful sashimi. This place absolutely nails it though. Their sushi is amazing as well but I mainly came for the sashimi, which did NOT disappoint. I can’t judge the service because they were a bit busy last night and I was by myself, they ended up forgetting to take my payment lol. But I waited patiently and I understood that they were busy. Be mindful that this is a very small place, so sometimes you might wanna book ahead, or check when they’re less busy. Personally, I walked in right on time. But for the busier days, it’s best to book. This place is officially my number one place to get sushi/sashimi though.

Nara Sushi is an absolute hidden gem! This charming, family-run restaurant was an unforgettable dining experience. The cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home. The owner was incredibly welcoming, taking our order personally and making fantastic recommendations. The takoyaki was amazing: crispy, flavorful, and loaded with fresh octopus. Every piece of sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and expertly crafted. The combination of outstanding food and genuine hospitality made this one of the best sushi experiences we've had. We can't wait to come back. Highly recommend Nara Sushi to anyone looking for exceptional sushi and warm, personal service!

Everything about Nara was great. The staff are amazing. They are extremely polite and respectful. The food was amazing. Everything was fresh, and tasted great. Highly recommend the Sushi B, miso, house salad. Will be coming back here when I’m in the area! Best sushi place in Norfolk/ Virginia Beach area hands down.

Tried the omagaze; everything was delicious! Fish tasted fresh, and the takoyaki was great! Had a wonderful time, the service was absolutely excellent as well.

First time checking it out near a clinic and the service and food was perfection. Right through the door, we were seated. Great options available on the menu, and the food was made fresh and with top quality seafood and great Japanese beer. Highly recommend to check out. This place is a new favorite for us
